Big Bang (4-26-08)

it began with an utterance
the simplest exchange of words
his lips released his word to the air
she released a glance
they stared, deeply
her answer to her new city.
a new sound had begun
two hearts kicking each beat to new heights
the birth of an unbreakable gaze
all set the most unexpected and unstoppable into motion.
but only to begin after their gaze would shatter
setting to burst inside him
expanding through all of him
touching all parts of him, with
waves of color painting over the grey.
traveling like that single word floating through the air
on its way to her ear, her lovely ear
finally reaching its destination
a bold whisper
“hello”
